i think the capitol is mad at katniss and peeta because they were so close to dying and the capitol wants violence and pleasure. first person to comment!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that the capitol was mad at Katniss and Peeta because they were the last two left in the games, and the game-makers declared in the middle of the games, that if both members of the same district are still alive, they can both win. Then, when Katniss and Peeta both survived, they all of a sudden said that there could only be one winner, and neither wanted to kill the other and lose each other, so Katniss brought out poison berries, and they were both going to commit suicide. But the capitol got mad, so they let them both win,and the people were angry about this. I agree with Siobhan that they were so close to dying and the capitol wants violence and pleasure.

ReplyDeleteI think the Capitol wants to upset those two because it's for their entertainment pleasures. Katniss and Peeta were so close to making it and winning it. The nightmare was going to be over but the Capitol changed the rules again to make the two upset that they helped each other but in the end, it was completely useless. They are technically trying to munipulate Katniss and Peeta.
ReplyDeleteI think the capitol was mad at Katniss and Peeta because they were the only survivors in the Games, and there is only supposed to be one winner, but Katniss and Peeta would not kill each other. This caused the capitol to become infuriated. Plus, Katniss threatened to kill herself if Peeta died (like Wendy said.) This gave the capitol no choice but to allow them both to survive and win
ReplyDeleteI think the capitol is mad a Katniss and Petta because they out ruled them with their will of they both survive and they both die. and when petta said "hold out your hands, I want them to see them", that was a sign of rebelation to the Capitol and the Capitol REALLY doesn't like that! And plus that also gives a sign that someday other people can rebel too and that the Capitol can be overthrown and the Hunger Games could be over! (spoiler alert!)
ReplyDeleteWhat Katniss and Petta did was that they got the berries called NIghtlock and since on one of them can win and they can't live without the other, they planned to eat the berries and die together. BUt before they could eat the berries the Capitol changed their minds and declared them "winners".
So to sum it up the Capitol is FURIOUS with them.
And I agree with Siobhan on how the HUnger Games are really for violence and pleasure and Katniss and Petta almost ruined it.
I think that the capitol is mad at Katniss and Peeta because they refused to kill each other, and that is basicly the point of the hunger games. I think that the game makers changed the rule in the middle of the game just so they could make them turn on each other in the end. But when they saw that Katniss and Peeta weren't trying to kill each other, the capital got mad. It makes sense that the capital is mad because Katniss and Peeta defied their rules by not killing each other and deciding to both commit suicide. They probably surprised the capital by going that far just to not kill each other. So their love ALSO made the capital mad. Double fury. :D
