1. At the very start, Katniss fought for supplies and tried to steal the backpack from the boy. She didn't want to make it look like she was pitying the other contestants. I would've fought for supplies as if my life relied on it as well as she did.
ReplyDelete2. Katniss also ran away from other people instead of fighting. Normally, if this was hunting, she would be the hunter, not the prey. I'd run as well because running has a higher chance of you surviving than you dying.

Katniss acted differently in the arena with the cameras because she wanted people to be her sponsor. If she had non the games would be that much harder. I might have done this while trying out for a sport so if I look like I am good then they might think i'm good at it. Where as at gym i don't need to as much.

Just like Daniel, sometimes I make it look like I'm better at things than I actually am.
ReplyDelete1. Katniss usually shies away from injuries that involve people bleeding or close to dying but in the arena katniss wants to look "tough" and not scared at these sorts of things. a example was when Rue got hurt from a spear and she gushing blood, but katniss stayed.
ReplyDelete2. Instead of being "easy" prey for the enemy she became the hunter when she realized that she would get more sponcers if she seemed like she was a hunter instead of the prey

ReplyDelete1. When Katniss was stuck in the bush, she was glad that the cameras couldn't get a clear view of her because she was chewing her nails off. Also, as Isabel said, Katniss acted tougher than she probably would have before.
ReplyDelete2. When I meet a stranger or somebody very important or imposing, I act really nice while secretly wishing I could run away.
I agree with Richard on how if my life was at stake, then of course I would be fighting for a supply pack. Also, I agree on how Katniss acts differently because she's used to being the hunter and not the prey. I agree with Daniel on how Katniss acted differently because she wanted more sponsors.
ReplyDelete1. Kattniss kind of teased that career tribute when she was in the tree. I don't think that she would have been brave enough to do that if her life wasn't at stake.

1) I would say that Katniss was acting different for the cameras by hiding her weaknesses to keep and get sponsors. Katniss also plays the game strategically and looks for anything that could look like a trap to make her look like a hard target and smart.

ReplyDelete1. I agree with Jessie ans Isabel becuase she does want to look tought because then some people will be frightened that are week. Also, she will get moe sponsers this way.
ReplyDelete2. I agree with Isabel again, because she is not the prey but the hunter. This will be a very big advantage like when she is hungry she can shoot a arrow or something, while other who can't hunt.
This remindes me of when one day i met someone new and she wsn't really nice, then still i had to be nice remembering that treat people the way you want to be treated.
