i think that katniss teamed up with rue because she knew she probably couldnt beat the carers on her own and it is better to have to kill her in the end then both die anyway. this tells me that she is a almost heartless person (in the games)but she does care a little because she teams up with her and gives rue the sleeping bag
ReplyDeleteKatniss was eager to take an alliance with Rue because it will raise her chances of surviving. It's not safe to be alone when you could have 2 people teamed together. One person can gaurd while the other sleeps vice versa. She did this knowing that she might have to kill her because it creates a bond between them two. If she just killed Rue at the start, Rue will die alone and Katniss will have to suffer the guilt of killing the person who was like a twin of hersister. So in the end, if she kills Rue, at least Rue can die peacefully if Katniss makes a swift and clean kill. This tells me that Katniss is kind, what most people fear is to die alone without friends. Creating this bond will make death less freightening to Rue. I read from the Demonata, that people never want to die alone, they want to die with their friends and family.

ReplyDeleteKatniss was eager to take an alliance with Rue because Rue was a person of great wisdom beyond her age. Plus, as I said before in the other blog thingy, Rue reminds Katniss of a braver version of her sister. Katniss doesn't really think much about killing Rue because she assumes that they are not going to win anyway, so it's better to team up and make the best of it. This tells me that Katniss is rather softhearted, and that she thinks ahead and is usually logical in her decisions. I agree with Richard on how people never want to die alone, and that they want to die with friends and family. I agree with Daniel on how Katniss has some kindness in the action of giving Rue her sleeping bag.
ReplyDeleteI think Katniss was eager to make an alliance with Rue because she needed to remind herself of Prim during the games. It would help her stay sane in this battle for life. Even though she will have to kill Rue if they both survive, Katniss will at least have memory of her younger sister. If she goes home, she will still see her sister, though. This tells me that Katniss is very dependent on somebody to keep her close.

ReplyDeleteRue amd Katniss are good friends so they want to stick togther when they go to the arena. This shows that Katniss is kind,brave and supports her friend.
Katniss is eager to take up a friendship with Rue because she knows in the end nether her or Rue, by the looks of it, will ever win the Hunger Games. She did it because she knows she's going to die in the end. This tells you that Katniss is a good friend and she doesn't judge you by your looks, she judges you by your character.

ReplyDeleteKatniss is so eager to take an alliance with Rue because Rue has spied on the careers and knows info about them. Which is important to Katniss because I think she still has small feelings of hatred for Peeta. I think that she does this to have another smart brain alongside her. I can infer that she wants sombody to kill Rue so she doesn't have to do it herself. It tells you that Katniss is kind of 2 faced, she acts really nice to Rue to make them seem like friends, but she could end up killing her.
ReplyDeleteRichard makes a great point. I would have never thought of that. Also, safety in numbers, if Katniss or Rue were to be alone a single tribute could have killed them. But now since theres 2 other tributes might back off of them a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI agree with how Chris said that Katniss was eager to take an alliance with Rue because she spied on the careers. Rue is smart for a 12 year old, and she saved Katniss' life in pointing out the trackerjackers in the tree, so she is so eager to become an alliance with Rue. I think that she did this, knowing in the end that she might have to kill her because at least she'll have a person to trust during the games, and I think that she also tried to protect Rue as well, and I agree with Isabel on how she says she knows she's going to die in the end. This tells us that Katniss cares about Rue.

ReplyDeleteI think Katness made a allianice with Rue because it remides her of Prim. She might be taking the risk because if she kills her then she cant live with the guilt of killing the the person that is like her sister.This tells me that Katness cares about her family.I agree with Richard

I think katniss teamed up with rue so she would have a better chance of survial. Rue knows plants, herbs etc. where as katniss is good at hunting for fish and meat. so together they are a strong team for survival. Until the possiblity of katniss killing rue. She is very heartless.

I think that Katniss is so eager to take an alliance with Rue because it is likely that Katniss and Rue won't be able to defeat the career tributes, so there is no point in them trying because they will probably lose anyways. Katniss would probably kill the other tributes with Rue's help and when they are the last tributes, Katniss would probably kill Rue because she has good hunting skills which would make it easier for Katniss to kill Rue. This tells me that Katniss is smart and cold-hearted at the same time because she has a plan that would give her a good chance of winning, which makes her smart. I think that Katniss is cold-hearted because she probably doesn't care about Rue as much as she did at the beginning and she doesn't have the same feelings for Rue anymore like she did at the beginning. Also, I think that Katniss would feel guilty if she killed Rue because she was like a sister to her.

ReplyDeleteI think that Katniss made a alliance with Rue, because rather than wondering around by herself when she could have someone watching her back. I think this is a very selfish move because she knows that if it comes down to those two then she would have to kill Rue and betray her. Katniss would just be using Rue to get to the end.
